Whitewood & Fleming was established in 1985 by Elaine Whitewood and Tim Fleming.
Our process is a multidisciplinary approach that listens, looks, researches and responds. We then invent and deliver a tailor-made project. The process is as important as the final product. In most cases there is live performance of the end result, but not always. Sometimes we make films and record music; or make mosaics and wall hangings. And we have been known to build playgrounds & plant trees. Whitewood & Fleming was based in West Yorkshire but we have been working as well in Cumbria for the past seven years and are now based in the Rusland Valley.
