We specialise in creating accessible, low tech short films. People working on these projects are usually involved in all aspects of creation from idea to premiere.
World of Women - a film about artificial gametes and stem cell research.
Now in pre-production.
We have secured funding from the Wellcome Trust to make this film in collaboration with Tom Lloyd, Dreamtime Film. It will feature the fabulous actress Barbara Marten and be written by talented TV writer Graham Mitchell.
Scientific and ethical consultants are Prof. Karim Nayernia from the Centre for Life, Newcastle and Dr Anna Smajdor from University of Norwich.
Shooting begins in March 2010.
Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care National (England) Team Documentary
Now in pre-production.
We have been commissioned to make a fifteen- minute documentary looking at the innovative specialist treatment foster care programme currently running in the UK. Originally brought over by the team from the Oregon Social Learning Centre, USA, the film will feature young people in foster care in five locations, Glasgow, Gateshead, Salford, Trafford and Pickering.
Shooting begins February 2010. Project continues until June.
8 short films (2008)
8 short films about the lives, dreams, hopes and hobbies of young people who are looked after in Cumbria.
The young people have worked alongside our team and have been involved in every aspect of producing their movies. The films are being screened on Charge TV, Sky channel 539, Virgin TV 233. Freeview 87. They premiered in July 09 at the Cinema Room at the Canteen Media Centre, Barrow-in-Furness.

Slave Label (2007)

“Slave Label” our short film on modern day sweatshop labour and ethical clothing continues to receive acclaim at screenings around the world:
November 2007 - screened at the Royal Festival Hall, London as part of the Freedom and Culture Seminar.
January 2008 - distributed to every Secondary School in Cumbria.
20th/21st June 2008 - USA premiere. Lincoln Centre, New York as part of the USA Human Rights Watch Film Festival. Click Here for further details.
The film was part of a world tour of eighteen major cities including Washington, San Francisco, Toronto, Tokyo, Berlin, Johannesburg, London.
